Midlodge Front | 28 occupants (1891 - 2016)

MIDLODGE 10.04.08 Midlodge was a nice place to stay, the house itself consisted of a lobby, livingroom, kitchen bathroom and three bedrooms, not forgetting all the outhouses, which consisted of chalet, garage and sheds. The surrounding area was full of interesting, in front of the house was the loch and to the left handside the river. Also at the back of the house was a great garden, well, and woods. Many happy times were spent there. The chalet, was mainly used by my father, who done a lot of leather work. We had lovely neighbours, Nigel and Janet Callander. Colin their son and I were great pals and never tired of things to do as youngsters. My best friends were Rachel Beattie and Marion Fraser, we went to Primary School and Dunoon Grammar School together and after leaving high-school, Rachel and I worked together for a while. My parents met at Inveraray, after the war. My father worked for Ardkinglas Estate, as a stone mason, and eventually had his own building business. When my parents left Cairndow, they moved to Callander, where they had a Bed and Breakfast. Regards Anna MacLagon (Kobiela)
